Cancellation & Refund Policy

At Joyce Shaw Private Events Inc., we take pride in planning and delivering memorable private events. Because of the significant time and resources involved in coordinating events, this Cancellation & Refund Policy applies to all bookings.
1. Deposits
A non-refundable deposit is required to secure your event date.
Deposits are applied toward the total cost of your event.
2. Cancellations by Client
More than 60 days prior to event date: Payments made, excluding the deposit, are refundable.
31–60 days prior to event date: 50% of payments made (excluding deposit) may be refunded.
30 days or less prior to event date: No refunds will be issued.
3. Rescheduling
If you need to reschedule, we will make every effort to accommodate a new date, subject to availability.
Deposits may be applied to a rescheduled date if notice is given at least 30 days in advance.
Rescheduling within 30 days of the event may require a new deposit.
4. Cancellations by Joyce Shaw Private Events Inc.
In the unlikely event that we must cancel due to unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full refund of all payments made, including your deposit.
We are not liable for costs outside our services (e.g., travel, accommodations, or third-party vendor expenses).
5. Force Majeure (Events Beyond Our Control)
We are not responsible for cancellations due to events beyond our reasonable control, including natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or other emergencies. In such cases, we will work with you to reschedule where possible, but refunds will not be guaranteed.
6. Refund Processing
Refunds (where applicable) will be processed within 14 business days of cancellation confirmation.
Refunds will be issued using the original method of payment unless otherwise agreed.
